Do I have to be present for delivery?

Yes, UPS has to collect an adult signature by state law upon delivery of your order.

Does someone over 21 have to sign for the wine?

Yes, state law requires this.

Can I change the delivery address after the order has shipped?

Yes, within the same state, there is a $20 change fee charged by the carriers, plus there maybe additional shipping fees.

Can the order be delivered on a weekend?

No.

Can I leave a note for the package to be left when I am not there?

No, even a signed permission note does not work, the carrier has to get an adult signature.

Can I specify the delivery time of the order?

No, you will be notified of the shipment and the day of arrival. We recommend having it delivered to a place of work where someone is present during business hours.

How much wine can I ship?

Each state has different laws around how much wine you can buy and ship to someone. This could be you or someone else over 21. You can find the rules for every state here.

Why can't the wine be shipped to all 50 states?

When the 21st Amendment was added to the Constitution, it was left to individual states to set the laws pertaining to the importation and shipment of alcohol within its borders. As a result, each state has different laws regulating the shipment of wine and compliance issues are very complex.

Can I send wine to multiple addresses?

Yes. It is possible to send wine to multiple addresses, however because shipping regulations vary by state, you must complete separate orders for each address, and check out completely in between transactions.

Can I request a specific delivery window or delay my wine shipment to avoid extreme weather?

Yes, if you have a specific arrival period in mind, or will be away on vacation at the time you purchase wine, it is possible to delay your shipment during the checkout process by leaving a note in the "Instructions for Winery" section.

As you know, wine can be damaged by exposure to extreme weather, such as extreme heat or to freezing temperatures. During times when wine is at risk of being damaged, we recommend you include a note during the checkout process to alert Vinoshipper to place a hold on shipment until a specific date. To track the shipping status of your order, refer to the tracking number on the email confirmation you received.
