About the Winery

Highway 12 Vineyards & Winery is named for the legendary stretch of roadway that winds through Sonoma Valley and the Carneros district of Napa, where some of the world’s best vineyards are located. Begun as a partnership between longtime friends, Highway 12 wines are crafted by winemaker Michael Sebastiani, a graduate of the UC Davis viticulture program, who spent his childhood in the vineyards and his adult life making wine. Highway 12 Winery is unique in that it has the opportunity to include a number of different growing appellations in its portfolio of wines. This allows the winemakers to use a range of fruit representing the many microclimates of the Highway 12 corridor where the character of the fruit changes with the curve of the road.
